Donna Schaffer Giclée Canvas Prints
Some of the paintings on this UnderwaterPaintings.com website are available as limited-edition artworks. They are created for Donna Schaffer by fine arts producer, Digital Grange in Petaluma, California. Each print is custom made using the highest quality archival inks and canvas. Schaffer personally inspects then signs each piece. Because of it’s high quality and relative rarity, a limited-edition giclée is valuable from it’s initial printing. For some artists, their giclée prints also become more valuable over time as the artist gains more and more recognition and the edition of the print sells out. Contact me if you are interested.
First consideration: What size do you want?
Smaller Giclée Canvas Prints, from 11 x14 up to 18×24 in size, are archivally attached to artboard. They required framing. Larger size canvas pieces are created with a 1 to 3 inch canvas border. A 1″ border is for those pieces which will be framed. A 3″ border is for use with thick stretcher bars (deep canvas) for pieces which usually remain unframed. The primary advantage of this process is that these prints can be inexpensively shipped on a roll directly to the client. Most custom framers can easily and affordably attach the canvas to a stretcher bar for you. For example, a large 60×48 giclée print from Donna Schaffer can be produced, rolled, packaged and shipped anywhere in the USA for just under $1000.
